Introduction

Tradesperson certificates are issued for drainers, gasfitters, plumbers, roof plumbers and water plumbers. Holders of these certificates are able to work with minimum supervision.

You can renew and pay for your certificate online using your credit card.

Eligibility

What you need

  • your licence number
  • your renewal number (as shown on your renewal notice), or your full personal details.

How to renew

  1. Select the 'Renew online' button.
  2. Select 'Next'.
  3. Enter your licence and renewal numbers as shown on your renewal notice. (If you don't have your renewal number, select 'Don't have?' and enter your name, birth date and postcode.)
  4. Select 'Next'.
  5. Confirm the details of your licence.
  6. Update your personal details if required.
  7. Enter your payment details.
  8. Read and confirm the declaration.

More information

  • If you don't renew on time you'll have to make an application to restore your licence, which can be done at a service centre.
  • If your licence has expired more than 3 months, you'll need to apply for a new licence to be re-issued.
  • The holder of a tradesperson's certificate cannot sign off on the work undertaken. Work must be signed off by the holder of a contractor licence or qualified supervisor certificate.
