Media Release

The Armidale community can now complete NSW Government transactions and services in a larger, modern Service NSW Centre after the facility relocated only 500 meters down the street.

Doors opened today to the larger site at 213 Rusden Street and offer a better layout, three times the current space and more customer counters.

The new centre is a modern, purpose-built facility for people to complete the 1300 NSW Government services and transactions available at Service NSW.

Customers now have a dedicated space for any booked one-on-one appointments where they can receive cost of living support in-person or over the phone with a Service NSW team member.

The team can also connect business owners with the Service NSW Business Bureau for free, ongoing and personalised support for every stage of their business.

There were more than 43,000 customer visits to Armidale Service NSW Centre last year with people appreciating the efforts of the team, giving them a nearly 99 per cent satisfaction rating.

The original Armidale Service NSW Centre opened at 169 Rusden Street in February 2015.

Service NSW Managing Director Greg Wells said:

"Armidale Service NSW Centre is on a whole new level with a new modern and customer-centric design."

"The previous Service NSW Centre was a decade old and the new site ensures Service NSW can support the customer demand while providing people with a warm, welcoming space."

"Ensuring an inclusive and enhanced customer experience is at the heart of Service NSW and we look forward to welcoming the community to the new home with its new look and feel, increased space and new counters and self-service touch screens for staff to assist people."

"Service NSW Centres are a vital part of communities particularly regional and rural towns, providing people and business with a one-stop-shop to complete services that are important to their lives, from getting a driver licence, registering a vehicle or receiving personalised business support."
