Minister for Finance, Services and Property Dominic Perrottet joined Member for Goulburn Pru Goward to officially open the Goulburn Service NSW Centre.
Mr Perrottet said the one-stop shop offers the people of Goulburn access to unprecedented excellence in government service, as the Government continues to deliver on its commitment to improve services in NSW.
“Making government transactions easier, faster and more convenient is one of our key priorities as a government, and we are proud to be delivering on that commitment all over the state, including here in Goulburn,” Mr Perrottet said.
The one-stop-shop – located at 267 Auburn St, Goulburn – provides access to more than 850 government services and transactions from more than 40 different government agencies, including roads, Opal Card, NSW Seniors Card and Fair Trading services.
Customers can save time by visiting the Service NSW website to check waiting times at the centre before visiting. On arrival, customers are greeted by a friendly concierge who can direct customers where to go and make sure they have the right paperwork to complete transactions as quickly and easily as possible.
Digital kiosks are also available onsite, with staff on hand to help customers complete hundreds of popular transactions without needing to queue, including vehicle registration renewals and changes of licence details.
Ms Goward said the centre had already served more than 45,000 customers since doors opened in June 2015, with the average customer satisfaction rating currently at 99%.
“The feedback from the community so far has been exceptional, and manager Lauri Fettell and the team should be proud of the fantastic work they are doing, which I’m sure will continue into the future,” Ms Goward said.
“The new centre is also great news for local jobs in Goulburn, with 13 staff employed at the centre, compared to the 7 positions that were at the former motor registry.”
The Goulburn Service NSW Centre is open 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
