Gold Opal Card
If you hold a Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Veteran Gold Card, you can apply for a Gold Opal card.
The Gold Opal card gives you unlimited travel for no more than $2.50 a day, when using public transport services across the Opal network.
Your Gold Opal card isn't proof of entitlement. You must always carry your DVA Veteran Gold Card when travelling.

To apply for, renew or replace your Gold Opal Card, refer to the Transport for NSW website.
Regional travel
Your DVA Veteran Gold Card may also be entitle you to regional travel discounts:
- Regional Excursion Daily (RED) tickets
- Country Pensioner Excursion (CPE) tickets
- Pensioner Travel Vouchers.
For privately owned transport services outside the Opal network check with your Local Transport Operators to find out if you're entitled to concession fares.
