Public transport concessions for seniors and pensioners

Gold Opal Card

The Gold Senior/Pensioner Opal Card gives holders unlimited travel for no more than $2.50 a day, when using public transport services across the Opal network.

You must hold a NSW or ACT Seniors Card to be eligible for a Gold Opal Card.

If you live outside NSW or the ACT, you may be eligible if you hold a valid seniors card issued by an Australian state or territory government.

Regional travel

Pensioner concession card and seniors card holders may also be eligible for regional travel discounts:

• Regional Excursion Daily (RED) tickets
• Country Pensioner Excursion (CPE) tickets
• Pensioner Travel Vouchers.
