Introduction

If your oversize overmass vehicle doesn't comply with mass, dimension or operating requirements set out in a gazette notice, you can apply for a Class 1 Oversize Overmass (OSOM) vehicle access permit through the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).

If you are a Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicle permit holder whose travel is restricted to NSW only, you can also apply to Roads and Maritime Services for state-controlled roads, and to individual councils for local government roads.

For the most up-to-date information on how to apply for a Class 1 Oversize Overmass (OSOM) vehicle access permit, visit the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator website.
