Register for a Rental Bonds Online account (landlords)

If you're a self-managing landlord you need to set up a Rental Bonds Online account. Complete and print the PDF form and take it to a Service NSW Centre.

Introduction

NSW Fair Trading’s Rental Bonds Online helps landlords, agents and tenants, pay and refund rental bond money.

If you're a self-managing landlord, you must be registered with Rental Bonds Online. You must offer the service to new tenants as the first option for lodging their rental bond.

What you need

  • the PDF form – 'Rental Bonds Online landlord/owner proof of identity and registration'
  • proof of identity documents as listed on the form.

How to apply

  1. Select the 'Download PDF form' button.
  2. Complete the form and submit your application in person at a Service NSW Centre.

More information

  • After NSW Fair Trading has processed your application, an email will be sent to you with your Landlord Code and instructions for activating your Rental Bonds Online account.
