Renew a partnership contractor licence

Companies or partnerships that contract, sub-contract and/or advertise to carry out residential building or trade work need to be licensed. You'll receive a renewal notice for your partnership contractor licence six weeks before the expiry date. You can renew your licence online using your credit card.

• If you don't wish to renew online, you can visit a service centre.

To make sure that you have all the information and documentation you need to complete this transaction, please visit NSW Fair Trading.

• your licence number, and
• your renewal number (as shown on your renewal notice), or your full personal details.

1. Select the 'Renew online' button.
2. Select 'Next'.
3. Enter your licence and renewal numbers as shown on your renewal notice. (If you don't have your renewal number, select 'Don't have?' and enter your full details.)
4. Select 'Next'.
5. Confirm the details of your licence.
6. Enter your payment details.

• If you don't renew on time you'll have to make an application to restore your licence, which can be done at a service centre.
• If your licence has expired more than 3 months, you'll need to apply for a new licence to be re-issued.
• You cannot trade until your new licence is issued.
