Reset your password using the email address you used to register your MyServiceNSW Account.

What you'll need

  • the email address you used to register your MyServiceNSW Account.

How to reset

  1. Select the 'Reset password' button.
  2. Select the 'I forgot' link next to where you'd enter your password.
  3. Enter the email address you used to register your account.
  4. We'll send you a security code.
  5. Enter the security code.
  6. If you previously set security questions on your account, answer them now.
  7. Choose a new password.
  8. Select 'Save'.

Things to keep in mind

  • It's a good idea to add alternate contact details to your account as soon as possible. These can be used to recover your account in case you ever lose access to your primary email address.
  • Choose a strong password that you find easy to remember, and keep it secure. Don't write it down or share it with anyone. Stronger passwords avoid dictionary words or consecutive sequences, and use a combination of the following:
    • lower case letters (a to z)
    • upper case letters (A to Z)
    • numerals (0 to 9)
    • punctuation (`,.?;’:”), and
    • special characters (~!@#$%^&*()-_=+|\{}[]<>/).
