The subsidy is helping low-income households to upgrade an inefficient top-loading washing machine with a water and energy efficient front-loading model.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the program you must meet all eligibility requirements:
- be a resident of NSW
- be more than 18 years old
- hold a valid card from Centrelink or Department of Veteran Affairs
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Health Care Card
- Low Income Card
- have an existing top-loading washing machine to exchange.
Savings
If your application is successful, you will pay $250 (including GST) for:
- the front load washing machine
- delivery
- installation and
- 2-year warranty.
Successful applicants will have 5 days to make payment.
Your household can expect to save up to $250 (including GST) per year on water, energy and detergent costs. You could save about 20 kilolitres of water per year.
Availability
Round one of the program launched on 1 July 2025 and has now closed. All washing machines have been allocated for the round.
