The laws relate to property left in public places, including:

  • caravans
• personal recreation equipment
  • kayaks
  • bicycles
  • surfboards.
• stray stock animals
• share bikes
• shopping trolleys.

Fines

Under the laws, owners of property left in public places may face penalties including:

• on-the-spot fines
• higher court penalties
• rapid seizure action
• enforcement orders.
