Introduction

The NSW Government has legislated targets to reduce our emissions under the Climate Change (Net Zero Future) Act 2023. The Act commits the NSW Government to effective action on climate change to ensure a sustainable and fair future for the people, economy and environment of NSW.

Rebates available

Individuals

You may be eligible to apply for the $3,000 cash Electric Vehicle purchase rebate if you bought a new battery electric vehicle (BEV) or hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) for personal use in NSW.

Organisations

You may be eligible to apply for the Electric Vehicle purchase rebate if you bought or paid a deposit on an eligible vehicle on or before 31 December 2023.
