Apply for a development application

Introduction

When you need a development application (DA) for a proposed development you must apply online.

Before you start your application discuss the local planning and development requirements with your local council.

What you need

• a MyServiceNSW Account or your NSW Planning Portal login details
• copies of documents for uploading such as:
  • statement of environmental effects
  • owner's consent
  • cost estimate report
• your payment for NSW Planning Portal service fees.

How to apply

1. Select the 'Apply online' button.
2. Select ‘Log in with a Service NSW account’ or enter your NSW Planning Portal login details.
3. Follow the prompts to complete your application.
