If you want to make a complaint about a social housing issue:

  • call the Maintenance Line on 1800 422 322 for services provided by a Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) contractor
  • contact the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) (formerly known as Family and Community Services) if you cannot resolve your issue through the Maintenance Line or if you have an issue with a service provided by DCJ or the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO)
  • contact the NSW Ombudsman if you cannot resolve your issue through the Maintenance Line or DCJ. 

If your issue is urgent, you can call the NSW Ombudsman first to talk about the best thing to do.
