Top up your Opal card at a retailer or Service NSW Centre

Introduction

You'll need to top up your Opal card once an Opal card reader shows it has a 'low balance'. 

You can top up at most transport hubs, selected retailers and selected Service NSW Centres.

What you need

• your Opal card
• a payment method, such as cash or a credit card.

How to top up

1. Select the 'Find an Opal card retailer' button.
2. Use the map and location search to find your nearest Opal ticket machine or Opal card retailer.
3. Go to your chosen top up location and pay with cash or a credit card. Your Opal card will be immediately charged and ready for use.
