Practical driving test
You'll need to book an appointment to take a driving practical test and pay a fee for each test attempt.
Use the information on this page to ensure that you're ready to take the practical driving test.
Important
Your test will be cancelled if you do not come prepared with everything you need. If this happens, you will need to book and pay for another test, and you will not get a refund.
What you need to check and bring on the day
- Check your vehicle is registered, safe and roadworthy, and it is the right type of vehicle for the licence you want.
- Bring your proof of identity including your driver licence for example your learner, overseas or full licence.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before the time of your test.
