The NSW Digital Photo Card is the digital version of the NSW Photo Card available through the Service NSW app.
NSW Digital Photo Card trial
Service NSW is trialling the NSW Digital Photo Card in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains from 2 August 2021.
It's an easy and convenient way for existing NSW Photo Card holders to prove their age, identity and address at participating businesses.
The trial will give card holders and businesses the chance to test the Digital Photo Card and give feedback before it’s available to all Photo Card holders in NSW.
Participation in the trial is optional and free.
If you leave home for essential reasons while the stay at home order is in place, you can use the Digital Photo Card as a safe and contactless way to show your identity when required.
When visiting businesses during the trial, we recommend you follow COVID Safe practices to keep you and your community safe.
Who can participate
- Current Photo Card holders who live within eligible postcodes in Western Sydney and Blue Mountains suburbs.
- Businesses, venues and services in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains who accept the NSW Photo Card as proof of identification.
