Introduction

If you're going to work in a registered club or hotel and your duties involve gaming machines, you must complete competency training in the Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG).

The Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) training clarifies the roles, duties, and expectations of gaming staff.

The training also provides the practical skills to:

  • identify and proactively intervene when patrons display signs of gambling harm
  • promote responsible gambling behaviours
  • minimise gambling harm in gaming venues.

Contact the approved training provider to arrange training.

Applying for an RCG card

Once you've completed your training, you'll need to apply for an RCG competency card if you don't already have one.
