Introduction
If you want to sell recreational fishing licences at your place of business you will need to apply to become an accredited fishing licence agent.
There are different types of accredited agents.
- Gold agents are the preferred sellers of the NSW recreational fishing fee receipt. Gold agents do not take commission on fee sales. If you buy a licence from a gold agent, all money goes to the Recreational Fishing Trusts to be spent on improving recreational fishing.
- Standard agents retain 5% commission on fee sales. The remainder of the money goes to the recreational fishing trusts.
Fishing fee agents accreditation is managed by the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. For more information visit Fishing fee agents.
