A Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC) is available for eligible Australians who have reached pension age.

Holders of a CSHC receive concessions on certain medical expenses, and depending on their individual GP, that may also include having visits to their doctor, bulk billed.

In addition, most state/territory and local councils will provide cost of living benefits to card holders.

To be eligible for a CSHC, you must not be receiving any income support from Centrelink or the Department of Veterans' Affairs, and meet other criteria relating to your residency status and income.

Visit CSHC on the Services Australia website for more detailed information on:

  • who can get the card
  • how to apply
  • how to manage your card.

Note: The CSHC is provided by Services Australia, not Service NSW.
