Book an inspection with the Vehicle Identity & Inspections Unit

Introduction

If the identity of your vehicle cannot be easily established, you'll be referred to the Vehicle Identity & Inspections Unit (VIIU), usually by a mechanic or other vehicle specialist.

You can make your first booking with the VIIU in person at a Service NSW Centre.

What you need

• your proof of identity
• vehicle registration details
• the inspection report indicating a VIIU inspection is required
• your fee payment.

How to book

1. Gather the required documents.
2. Visit a service centre and arrange a time for the VIIU inspection.
