Introduction
If you see a NSW number plate which you find offensive or inappropriate, you can make a complaint online, by email or phone.
A committee of diverse people will review your complaint. The number plates will be recalled if they are deemed to give rise to controversy or public disagreement.
What you need
- the number plate details
- the reason(s) you find the number plate content offensive or inappropriate
- your personal details and email address (not needed if making an anonymous complaint by phone).
How to make a complaint
- Select the ‘Make a complaint’ button.
- Choose your preferred option (online form, email or phone) to make your complaint.
What happens next
- If you submit your complaint online or by email, you'll receive a confirmation email.
- Complaints will usually be reviewed within 30 days. Urgent complaints will be assessed sooner.
- For privacy reasons, you will not be notified of the outcome of your complaint.
