Register with the long service leave scheme (contract cleaning industry)

Introduction

The Long Service Corporation (LSC) manages a portable long service benefits scheme for workers in the contract cleaning business in NSW.

The scheme covers full-time, part-time and casual cleaners employed by a business, or self-employed as a contractor, who do cleaning work under contract.

If you engage workers to do cleaning work in NSW, you must:

• register with the LSC within one month of becoming an employer
• lodge employer returns
• pay the levy (1.0% of the ordinary wages of their employees)
• keep books and records, such as time sheets.

How to register
