Introduction
To keep native mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians as pets, you need a native animal keeper licence granted under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. After you receive a renewal notice in the mail, you can renew and pay for the licence online.
What you need
- your licence number
- your renewal number (as shown on your renewal notice), or your full personal details
- your payment.
How to renew
- Select the 'Renew online' button.
- Select 'Next'.
- Enter your licence and renewal number as shown on your renewal notice. (If you don't have your renewal number, select 'Don't have?' and enter your name, birth date and postcode.)
- Select 'Next'.
- Confirm the details of your licence.
- Enter your payment details.
Payment methods
For online transactions:
- credit or debit card (MasterCard, Visa, UnionPay, Diners Club or American Express).
For phone transactions:
- credit or debit card (MasterCard, Visa, or American Express).
Please note that you may need to pay a merchant fee when paying by credit or debit card.
