Apply for a farm firefighting vehicle registration

Introduction

Your dedicated farm firefighting vehicle or trailer may be eligible for conditional registration.

Farm firefighting vehicle registration is for emergency use only. If you plan to use your vehicle more regularly, consider applying for standard vehicle registration.

What you need

• an inspection report (manual or electronic)
  • light vehicles require an unregistered vehicle (AUVIS) inspection
  • heavy vehicles require a Heavy Vehicle Authorised Inspection Station (HVAIS) inspection
• your proof of identity
• the vehicle registration details
• proof of registration entitlement (statutory declarations are acceptable)
• your fee payment
• the PDF form – 'Application for Conditional Registration'.

2. Make sure you have the required inspection report.
3. Visit a service centre and submit your application with payment.
