Apply for registration under the automotive workshop scheme (RAWS)

Introduction

If you want to register a used vehicle that has been imported into Australia under the registered automotive workshop scheme (RAWS), you'll need to visit a Service NSW Centre.

What you need

• your proof of identity
• proof of registration entitlement
• your proof of concession (if applicable)
• compulsory third party (CTP) insurance receipt (green slip) with the number plate section left blank (except for trailers)
• an Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Scheme (AUVIS) report (blue slip)
• a Vehicle Compliance Certificate from a licensed certifier if the vehicle has been modified
• your fee payment
• the PDF form – 'Application for Registration'.

How to apply

2. Gather the required documents.
3. Take the completed form and required documents to a service centre and lodge your application.
