Cancel an unregistered vehicle permit (UVP)

An unregistered vehicle permit (UVP) can be issued for one day or a period up to 28 days.

To cancel your UVP and receive a refund before the start date of the permit you can: 

• visit a Service NSW Centre or 
• call 13 77 88.

No refunds are available for cancellations after the UVP's start date.

If you no longer need your permit and the UVP's start date has passed, remove the UVP from your vehicle and throw it away.

Note: You cannot transfer your UVP to another vehicle.
