Change or cancel a heavy vehicle inspection booking

Introduction

If you need to change or cancel your heavy vehicle inspection booking, you can do this online, by phone or at a Service NSW Centre. 

Note: The inspection must be carried out in the 3-month period prior to the renewal date, otherwise your registration may be suspended or cancelled. The results of an inspection are valid for 3 months only, so factor this in when changing or cancelling your booking.

What you need

• your booking ID or NSW plate number
• your surname or business name.

How to change or cancel

1. Select the 'Change or cancel online' button.
2. Select 'Existing booking'.
3. Enter your details to retrieve the booking.
4. Change or cancel your booking.

Note: You can also change or cancel your booking by calling 13 77 88 or visiting a service centre.

• A heavy vehicle inspection is conducted annually on heavy vehicles registered in NSW (some exemptions apply).
• Usually an inspection is carried out as part of the registration renewal process. If this is the case, you'll receive a renewal notification with the date your registration renewal must be completed by.
• Bookings must be made at least 24 hours prior to inspection.
