Change or correct personal details with Transport for NSW

Introduction

If you want to update your date of birth or gender on your driver licence, NSW Photo Card or Mobility Parking Scheme permit, you need to visit a Service NSW Centre.

What you need

• to correct the date of birth, a List 1 proof of identity document showing your correct date of birth
• for change of gender, one of the following:
  • birth certificate showing your gender
  • List 1 proof of identity document showing your gender
  • a Recognised Details Certificate issued by NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (or equivalent Australian authority) stating your gender
• if you need a replacement product such as driver licence card, the relevant form:
  • Replacement Application – PDF (for driver licence)
  • NSW Photo Card Application – PDF
  • Mobility Parking Scheme Application – PDF, or
• Change of Records – PDF if you do not need a replacement product.

How to change

1. Gather the required documents. 
2. Visit a service centre to request a change to your personal details. Make sure to bring the required documents with you.

Note: You may need to bring other documents with you if you've also changed your name.
