How CAPS can help

The Continuing Apprentices and Trainees Placement Service (CAPS) is a service run by Training Services, a division within the NSW Department of Education.

CAPS is a free service and it can help you to:

  • find a job
  • continue with your learning if your training contract ends before you have completed your qualification.

What you need

To complete the form you'll need:

  • your Training Contract ID
  • the name of the apprenticeship or traineeship

How to register

  1. Select the 'Register with CAPS' button.
  2. Enter the details and submit the form.

Contact

If you need help with the form call Training Services on 13 28 11.

What happens next

You'll receive a confirmation email from the CAPS team within 3 business days.

Signing up with CAPS will not mean you'll get a job straight away. It's important to:

  • actively look for work yourself
  • keep up with your off-the-job training.

Advice

Training Services offers advice and guidance on problems such as:

  • you're not getting along with your employer
