Introduction

Noise pollution is sound at a level that is annoying, distracting or physically harmful.

There are laws determining what levels of noise are acceptable, and the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) together with local councils, the NSW Police Force, Liquor & Gaming NSW, and Transport for NSW, share the responsibility of enforcing the noise control regulations.

If you want to report noise pollution you can contact the organisation responsible for its regulation, and for more information, visit the EPA.
