Restore a pawnbroker or second-hand dealer licence

Introduction

If your pawnbroker or second-hand dealer licence has expired within the last 3 months, you can apply to have it restored (fees apply). Restoration means you can keep your current licence number instead of applying for a new one. You can do this at a Service NSW Centre.

If you do not apply to restore your licence within 3 months, you'll need to apply for a new licence. You cannot trade until the new licence is issued.

Note: Suspended or cancelled licences cannot be restored.

• your renewal notice
• your payment.

Visit a service centre with your renewal notice and payment.

What to expect

You can keep using your current licence number once you restore it. It will be considered as renewed from the day it expired.
