Introduction
If your business sells tobacco products or non-tobacco smoking products in NSW, your premises must be licensed.
If you own the business as an individual, you can apply for a retail and/or wholesale licence on this page.
You need to submit a separate application for each premises and licence type.
All tobacco licences are valid for 12 months.

Eligibility
You must be:
- aged 18 or over
- the registered business owner and hold a current Australian Business Number (ABN).
What you need
- a MyServiceNSW Account
- you can create one when you start
- you may need details from 2 identity documents (such as Australian driver licence, Medicare card, passport)
- your ABN or business name
- a National Police Check completed in the last 3 months – JPEG, JPG, PDF, PNG format
- your fee payment.
How to apply
- Select the 'Apply online' button.
- Select 'Start'.
- Log in or create an account.
- Complete the online application form.
- Read and confirm the declaration.

- You must provide complete and truthful answers to all questions in this application. Under the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2008, giving false or misleading information could impact your ability to hold a tobacco licence.
