Introduction

An individual contractor licence allows you to carry out work as described on your licence card, subject to any specified conditions.

If there is a change to your qualifications that affects the conditions under which your licence has been issued, you need to change your details. You can do this at a Service NSW Centre.

Note: If the expiry date of your licence is less than 6 weeks away you need to renew it before you can vary the conditions.

What you need

To change the conditions on an individual contractor licence you need to provide:

  • the updated details in:
    • the completed PDF form 'Application form – Individual licence or certificate',
      OR
    • a letter explaining the details of the condition change.

You must provide the following supporting documents with your letter or completed application form:

  • proof of identity
  • evidence of qualifications or experience to validate the change of condition
  • one passport photograph (if applicable).

Payment

When you apply you need to pay a fee.

To pay at a service centre, check the payment options available.

Some service centres do not accept cash payments.

How to change the conditions

  1. Download and complete the Application form – Individual licence or certificate – PDF (if applicable).
  2. Gather the required supporting documents.
  3. Take your letter or completed application form with your supporting documents and payment to a service centre.

Note: Your application may take longer to assess if there is missing or incomplete information.
