Introduction

If you need to change the name of the organisation or the contact person associated with your Roads and Maritime Services E-Toll Account, you can do this at a service centre.

If the Australian Business Number (ABN) has changed, you’ll need to set up a new account and return the old tags.

What you need

  • your request stated on company letterhead, signed by the current account holder or a manager, director or CEO of the company, that includes:
    • E-Toll Account number
    • business name and address recorded on the account, and
    • details that need to be updated
  • the ASIC change of business name certificate (for a name change but the ABN remains the same), and
  • your E-Toll tags (to close the account when the ABN has changed).

How to change

  1. Write a letter on company letterhead stating the E-Toll Account number, the business name and address recorded on the account, and the details that need to be updated.
  2. Have the letter signed by the current account holder or a manager, director or CEO of the company.
  3. Get a copy of the ASIC change of business name certificate (for a name change but the ABN remains the same).
  4. Submit the documentation:
