Check a real estate agent licence

Introduction

If you'd like to check a real estate agent's licence, or search for your own licence number and details, you can do so online at Verify NSW.

You can use Verify NSW to search for licence and registration information, and to access public records for tradespeople, registered professionals, or business details.

What you need

Any of the following:

• licensee name
• licence number
• Australian Business Number (ABN)
• Australian Company Number (ACN)
• location (suburb or postcode).

How to check

1. Go to the Verify NSW search tool.
2. For a basic search:
   • From the options in 'Select a register', choose 'Property and real estate agents'.
   • In the 'Search by name or number' box, enter an individual or business name, licence or registration number.
   • Select the 'Search' button to view results.
3. For an advanced search, select the 'All search options' link.
