Introduction
Companies or partnerships that contract, sub-contract or advertise to do residential building or trade work, need to be licensed.
You'll receive a renewal notice for your company or partnership contractor licence several weeks before the expiry date.
You can renew online or visit a Service NSW Centre.
What you need
- your licence number
- your renewal number (as shown on your renewal notice), or your full personal details.
- your fee payment.
How to renew
- Select the 'Renew online' button.
- Follow the prompts to renew your licence.
If you don't wish to renew online, visit a service centre with your renewal notice and payment.
More information
- If you don't renew on time, you'll have to apply to restore your licence, which can be done at a service centre.
- If your licence has expired more than 3 months, you'll need to apply for a new licence to be re-issued.
- You cannot trade until your new licence is issued.
