Introduction
If you are a small business owner impacted by the Bondi Beach terrorist attack on 14 December 2025, you may be eligible for the Small Business Support Grant – Bondi Beach December 2025.
What this grant is for
The grant is to help pay for clean-up, repairs, replacement of lost or damaged stock, or loss of income due to business disruption resulting from the terrorist attack.
Impacted area
A Terrorist Disaster Declaration, AGRN 1240 – Bondi NSW Terrorist Attack 14 December 2025, was issued and an impacted area has been identified.

Closing date
Applications close at 4pm on Monday 30 March 2026.
Available funding
The maximum amount claimable per application is $25,000.
Each eligible small business is limited to:
- one application, and
- a maximum of 2 claims per application, made up of:
- a first claim of $5,000 (the initial payment)
- a second claim for an amount up to $20,000.
Eligibility
To be eligible as a small business, the business must:
- be registered for GST, and
- have an aggregated annual turnover of more than $75,000 for the year ended June 2025.
To apply for the initial payment, your small business must have:
- been located and operating in the impacted area at the time of the terrorist attack
- had a valid and active ABN on 14 December 2025, and
- employed less than 20 full-time (or equivalent) staff at that time.
To be eligible to make a second claim of up to $20,000, your small business must be able to show either:
- evidence of physical damage, or
- evidence of loss of income.

What you need
For all applications
To claim the initial payment of $5,000 you will need:
- your business name and ABN
- a MyServiceNSW Account
- a council rates notice or current lease agreement* that shows your business was located in the impacted area
- a bank account to receive payment
- a letter of authority (if someone is applying on behalf of your business).
*If you do not have these documents, you may be able to provide alternatives such as a utility bill, supply invoice, registration papers, or a contractor licence instead.
To make a second claim for an amount up to $20,000, you will need to show:
- evidence of physical damage – including quotes, estimates or invoices for repairs or replacements and/or photographs that clearly show the damage, or
- evidence of loss of income – including a letter from a qualified independent accountant that clearly states:
- the business' actual turnover for the periods:
- 14 December 2025 to 13 January 2026, and
- 14 December 2024 to 13 January 2025
- the business' resultant decline in turnover
- (optional) booking data showing evidence of cancellations may also be accepted.

For sole trader applications
If you make a claim for loss of income and your business does not have any full-time employees other than yourself, the business must be your primary source of income.
You will need to provide evidence, such as a letter from an accountant or a tax return, that you derive 50% or more of your total income from the impacted business.

How to apply
- Check you meet the eligibility criteria and refer to the grant guidelines if you're not sure.
- Gather the following before you visit, as you'll need to bring these details with this you to complete application on the day:
- your MyServiceNSW Account login (username and password)
- a valid ABN/ACN number that matches your identity documents
- your bank account details
- a letter of authority (if relevant).
- Apply in person at the Bondi Community Support Hub.

- call Service NSW on 13 77 88, or
- book a call with a Service NSW Business Bureau team member.
