Manage classes on an industry participant and promoter registration

Introduction

If you hold an industry participant and promoter registration, you can apply online to add class(es) to your registration.

Any class that you add, or change will expire on the same registration expiry date as your existing registration classes.

If you need to surrender a registration or class, you’ll need to complete the form to Surrender a combat sports class or registration.

Eligibility

If you are adding promoter, manager or matchmaker registration classes you must be aged 18 years or over to submit an application.

What you need

• a MyServiceNSW Account
  • you may need details from 2 identity documents (such as an Australian driver licence, Medicare card, passport)
• your registration number
• your payment.

In addition:

• If you’re applying for trainer registration classes:
  • a completed Trainer examination
  • a current first aid certificate with course code HLTAID003 Provide First Aid or HLTAID01 First Aid, and
  • a signed Parent/Legal guardian consent form for applicants under 18 years of age.
• If you’re applying for referee, judge and timekeeper registration classes:
  • a completed Referee/Judge/Timekeeper examination,
  • a completed proof of Qualifications and Endorsement of Skills & Experience Declaration
  • a National Police Certificate (containing your national criminal history) issued not more than 6 weeks before the date on which the application is made
  • a current first aid certificate with course code HLTAID003 Provide First Aid or HLTAID01 First Aid (required for referee registration classes only), and
  • a signed Parent/Legal guardian consent form for applicants under 18 years of age.
• If you’re applying for promoter, manager and matchmaker registration classes:
  • a completed Promoter examination
  • a completed Manager and Matchmaker examination.

How to apply

1. Check the eligibility requirements.
2. Gather the required details and documents.
3. Select the 'Apply online' button.
4. Log in to your MyServiceNSW Account.
5. Follow the prompts to manage class(es) on your industry participant and promoter registration.

Once you've submitted your application, you'll receive an email confirmation and payment receipt.

Privacy

To manage class(es) on your combat sports registration with the Combat Sports Authority of NSW (NSW Office of Sport), you’ll need to log in to your MyServiceNSW Account.

More information

• You'll get an industry participant identity card which will be mailed to your postal address within 10 business days.
• Applications for promoter, manager and matchmaker are referred to the Commission of Police for a security determination. This may take several weeks. Promoters must allow enough time for their application to be considered. It is an offence to arrange a combat sport contest unless registered in the appropriate promoter class.
