About the NSW Digital ID pilot program
The NSW Digital ID is a way to verify your identity in a single step in select NSW Government online transactions.
Once you've created one, your NSW Digital ID removes the need to prove your identity for these transactions using multiple identity documents. It's quicker and more secure than the 100 point identity check.
Optional and free
We are currently running a pilot program for the NSW Digital ID. Joining the pilot is optional and free.
The pilot will give NSW residents aged 16 or older the chance to be some of the first to sign up for the NSW Digital ID before it becomes more widely available.
During the pilot the number of NSW Government transactions where you can use the NSW Digital ID will be limited. The first transaction available for use with a NSW Digital ID is the toll relief rebate.
