Introduction
To renew your vehicle registration in NSW, most light vehicles that are more than 5 years old, must undergo a safety check (pink slip) to ensure they meet minimum safety requirements.
And all unregistered light vehicles need a blue slip inspection before they can be registered.
Safety checks can only be performed at authorised inspection stations, and the results are sent to Transport for NSW electronically.
You can find your nearest authorised inspection station online.
How to find
- Select the 'Find online' button.
- Enter your suburb or postcode.
- Select 'Submit'.
More information
Every authorised inspection station displays an AIS (Authorised Inspection Scheme) sign at the front of their premises, listing the types of safety checks and inspections they're authorised to perform.
