Introduction

If your licence is lost or stolen, you have 7 days to file a report and obtain an Event number:

If your licence is destroyed, damaged or illegible, you must first call the Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED) on 1300 362 001.

Update your contact details

If your contact details have changed you can update your details when you replace your licence online.

What you need

To replace your security operative licence online you need:

  • a MyServiceNSW Account
    • you can create one when you start your application
    • you may need details from 2 identity documents (such as Australian driver licence and passport)
  • your licence number
  • your fee payment.

How to replace your licence

  1. Select the 'Replace online' button.
  2. Log in, or create your MyServiceNSW Account.
  3. Follow the prompts to replace your security operative licence.

What happens next

After you submit your application you receive an email confirmation and payment receipt.

If you need to attend a Service NSW Centre to have your photo taken for your new licence card you will get a letter.

To replace a security operative licence with the Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (NSW Police Force) you need to create or log in with a MyServiceNSW Account.

By logging in you consent to sharing your name and email address in your MyServiceNSW Account with the NSW Police Force.
