Introduction
You can replace a lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed security operative licence online.
What you need
- a MyServiceNSW Account
- you can create one when you start your application
- you may need details from 2 identity documents (such as Australian driver licence and passport)
- your personal and contact details
- your licence number
- your payment.
Notes:
- If your licence is lost or stolen, you have 7 days to file a report and obtain an Event number through the NSW Police Force Community Portal. If you're unable to report online, you can call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
- If your licence is destroyed, damaged or illegible, you must first call the Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED) on 1300 362 001.
How to replace
- Gather the required details and documents.
- Select the 'Replace online' button.
- Log in, or create your MyServiceNSW Account.
- Follow the prompts to replace your security operative licence.
Once you've submitted your application, you'll receive an email confirmation and payment receipt.
You'll also receive a letter if you need to attend a Service NSW Centre to have your photo taken for your new licence card.
Note: If you're unable to apply online, you can complete the application form 'Amend, vary or replace an existing Class 1 and/or Class 2 licence' and send it by post to the address on the form.
Privacy
To replace a security operative licence with the Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (NSW Police Force), you'll need to create or log in with a MyServiceNSW Account.
By logging in you consent to sharing your name and email address in your MyServiceNSW Account with the NSW Police Force.
