Introduction

If you have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) you can add it to the Service NSW app.

Once added, you can view your WWCC details and use the QR code to verify your status.

The WWCC is an online system and does not have a physical card or certificate. The email you received when you were cleared has your WWCC number.

What you need

  • the latest version of the Service NSW app
  • a MyServiceNSW Account
    • you can create one when you start
    • you may need details from 2 identity documents (such as Australian driver licence, Medicare card, passport)
  • one of the following:
    • WWCC application number
    • NSW Driver Licence number
    • NSW Photo Card number.

How to add

  1. Select the ‘Add Working with Children Check’ button.
  2. Log in to, or create your MyServiceNSW Account.
  3. Follow the prompts to add your WWCC to the app.

Once added, your WWCC will be available in the carousel on the homescreen of the Service NSW app.

More information

  • WWCC clearance numbers are issued by email once the check has cleared. Allow up to 4 weeks for the WWCC to clear. Clearances expire after 5 years.
  • If you want to update your WWCC details, you’ll need to change your details with OCG. Changes will be automatically updated in the Service NSW app.
