What you need to know
If you have submitted an application but wish to withdraw it, you will need to do this within 28 days of applying.
There is no fee to withdraw an application. However, the registration application fee is non-refundable.
How to complete this transaction
You can do this transaction:
- by post, follow the instructions on the form
- in person, at a Service NSW Service Centre.

Before you visit a service centre
Prepare
- Download and complete the Registry's form, Withdraw a relationship registration application - PDF.
- Gather your original proof of identity documents. You'll find a list of acceptable documents on the form.
Plan ahead
- Book an appointment at a service centre.
- Find a Service NSW location or Mobile Service Centre.
- Help in your language
On the day of your visit
- Make sure to bring:
- your original proof of identity documents, and
- your completed and signed form.
- Staff at the service centre will check and scan your documents.
