Change the name on a company or partnership contractor licence

Introduction

If you hold a company or partnership contractor licence and the business name has changed, or the name of a company director or a partnership member has changed, you must update the licence details at a Service NSW Centre within 7 days.

Note: You must apply for a new licence if you're:

• changing the name of the company and also changing the ACN
• adding or removing members from a partnership.

What you need

• your licence number
• a current ASIC extract showing your new company or partnership name (original copy to be viewed and verified at Service NSW)
• the PDF form – 'Change of name and use of other names or aliases'.

In addition

If the name of a company director, or a partnership member has changed, certified evidence of the name change such as a:

• marriage certificate, or
• change of name certificate.

How to change

1. Select the 'Download PDF form' button.
2. Complete the form.
3. Gather the required documentation.
4. Visit a service centre and provide the information in person.
