A MyServiceNSW Account enables you to connect online with the NSW government, quickly and securely. When you sign up, the information you provide is stored in your account, so you don't have to re-enter the details each time you access online government services.

You're able to:

  • securely store personal information (like your contact details)
  • verify your identity online so that you can perform transactions that would otherwise require a face-to-face service centre visit
  • record your communication preferences, including when and how we should contact you.

Over time, more and more NSW government transactions and services will become available online, and your MyServiceNSW Account will make access to these services simpler and more convenient.

More information

  • It's a good idea to add alternate contact details to your account as soon as possible. These can be used to recover your account in case you ever forget your details.
  • Choose a strong password that you find easy to remember, and keep it secure. Don't share it with anyone, or write it down. Stronger passwords avoid dictionary words or consecutive sequences, and use a combination of the following:
    • lower case letters (a to z)
    • upper case letters (A to Z)
    • numerals (0 to 9)
    • punctuation (`,.?;’:”), and
    • special characters (~!@#$%^&*()-_=+|\{}[]<>/).
  • For security reasons, some online transactions will require you to provide your proof of identity details (for example, your NSW driver licence details).
