Introduction
ID scanners are mandatory in certain liquor licensed venues in the Kings Cross precinct, and you must complete privacy training before operating a scanner.
You can do the privacy training course online if you've completed the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course and have a valid competency card.
Eligibility
Anyone who's completed the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course and has a valid photo competency card.
What you need
- your competency card number
- a computer and internet access for about 30 minutes
- a printer.
How to complete
- Select the 'Complete privacy training' button.
- Select 'Click here to register for Privacy Course'.
- Complete the online form to create an account.
- Log in using your competency card number and password.
- Complete the course.
- Print your interim certificate.
More information
- Your interim certificate is valid for 28 days.
- You'll need to apply to get the privacy qualification added to your competency card, it can take up to 4 weeks to get your new card.
- If you operate an ID scanner in the Kings Cross precinct without having completed the approved privacy training, you'll be fined.
- You won't be able to work ID scanners if your interim certificate expires and you haven't received your new competency card.
- The online privacy course is free, however you'll need to pay a fee to have the privacy qualification added to your competency card.
