Introduction

The flood recovery rental support payment helps NSW residents in highly impacted suburbs who are unable to live in their home due to the February and March 2022 storms and floods.

The one-off payment is to help pay for short-term accommodation bookings:

  • made on or after 22 February 2022
  • that are 14 nights or more.

The payment is based on the number of people who normally live in your home who need short-term accommodation:

  • 1 person - $6,000
  • 2 people - $7,200
  • 3 people - $9,200
  • 4 people - $12,400
  • 5 people - $15,200
  • 6 people - $18,000

If you have more than 6 people in your household, the payment will increase by $2,800 for each additional person.

Note:

  • This payment is for people directly impacted by the storms and floods in February and March 2022.
  • One person from each household can apply.
  • Applications close 24 June 2022.
