Changes to how you share your Covid-19 digital vaccination certificate

From March 30, you won't be able to access or share your Covid-19 digital vaccination certificate using the Service NSW App.

If you require proof-of-vaccination you can visit the Service Australia website for information on how to access or share your vaccination certificate.

To get your COVID-19 digital certificate on the Service NSW app, download the app here:

Once you have the Service NSW app installed and set up your MyServiceNSW Account, you can add your COVID-19 digital certificate: 

  1. Launch and log in to the Express Plus Medicare app. 

  2. Under Services, select ‘Proof of vaccinations’. 

  3. Select ‘View history’.

  4. Select your name, then 'View COVID-19 digital certificate'. 

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select ‘Share with check in app’. 

  6. Select to share with Service NSW. This will open your installed Service NSW app. 

  7. Log in to the Service NSW app. 

  8. You may need to prove your identity. Follow the prompts to complete. 

  9. Accept the terms for adding the COVID-19 digital certificate to the app. 

  10. You should now have your certificate in your home screen carousel. 

  11. When you open your certificate it will have a QR code that can be scanned by the in-app scanner. 

  12. When you check in, you can choose to show your certificate status to venue checkers. 

Note: Your COVID-19 digital certificate will be available in the Service NSW app for 12 months only from the day you add it. After 12 months, you can add it again to the app, if still needed.
