If you’re a refugee or asylum seeker, you may be able to access employment support through the Refugee Employment Support Program (RESP).
To be eligible you’ll need to:
- have arrived in Australia on a refugee visa since 1 December 2011
- be 18 to 55 years old
- live in western Sydney or the Illawarra
- be underemployed or unemployed
- have a visa with work or study rights.
The program is focused on connecting eligible refugees and people seeking asylum to local employers and organisations offering training, support and jobs.
